What Can You Expect?

Are you tired of staring at public market data on your Bloomberg? Are you motivated by the idea of generating insights from a wide variety of private market data sources and communicating those to an audience of investment professionals?

If this resonates, then this role may be of interest to you.  Private debt is one of the most dynamic areas in capital markets and the team is responsible for a broad array of debt strategies (corporate investment grade and below investment grade, real assets, asset-backed etc.) as well as infrastructure equity. We work on behalf of Zurich balance sheets and pension schemes globally in sourcing appropriate investment opportunities. The portfolio is approximately $12bn and growing by AUM and number of strategies.  The team is looking for someone who is interested in aggregating and organizing large amounts of qualitative and quantitative information and helping to convey meaningful insights to colleagues throughout Investment Management.

As an Private Debt Investment Data Analyst you will have the opportunity to:

• Aggregate and organize private market data from a large number of sources (rating agencies, investment banks, data providers etc.)
• Analyse the data and help draw meaningful insights which are relevant for Zurich’s investing balance sheets
• Build private market databases and leverage IT solutions where appropriate
• Help produce both a detailed quarterly market private market report and also respond to a high number of ad-hoc requests from both senior management and local investment teams 
• Take responsibility for operational tasks specific to private assets and the various internal funds that have been established to facilitate private investments
• Work alongside experts in various technological domains.
• Enhance your skills with real-world experience
• Contribute to a team that values your input and creativity

What Makes You a Great Fit?

While we’re not seeking perfection or expecting you to save the world, we believe that if you meet some of these requirements, you’ll be a fantastic fit for our team. We are waiting for you!

• University degree, a professional investment qualification such as CFA is a plus
• At least 2 years of experience in the investment industry
• Determination to source, aggregate and analyse private market data
• Strong data management skills (Power Bi, advanced excel skills, Python a plus).
• Strong Powerpoint skills
• Ability to leverage emerging AI tools
• Knowledge of Zurich’s internal systems (GIDW, iAware, PAMS)
• Ability to work independently and proactively
• Fluent in English. Knowledge of other European language would be a plus
